Next year (2017) sees the 50th anniversary of Tim Hinkley’s progressive rock band, Jody Grind. Next year will also see the release of a brand new album, SYMBIOSIS to go along with the reissue of the two original recordings “One Step On” and “Far Canal” on the Cherry Red label, Esoteric.

Tim has put together a brand new Jody Grind band with four of the world’s greatest musicians. Drummer Charlie Morgan, Saxophonist Mel Collins, Guitarist Larry Knight and Bassist David Santos.

With Tim’s beloved Hammond Organ blasting away, Mel Collins’ saxophone soaring along on the top of the best rhythm section in the world, this is a momentous musical powerhouse of a band. Playing selections from the original albums plus the new recordings, this new formation of Jody Grind will astound audiences and leave them with memories of a show second to none.

Jody Grind is also negotiating with digital artist David Turner with the view to including a 3D light show. The original Jody Grind had the light shows of the 1960’s as a part of their performances and the band is keen to include the modern version in the upcoming shows. Sponsor icons and trade images cans also be included in the 3D show.

The relatively new phenomenon of social networking has become increasingly important in promoting shows and in particular, Facebook. Nicholas Hoover is a partner in the entertainment company, NT Entertainment, the management company that handles all the bookings and business for Jody Grind. Nicholas is well versed in social media and will link up with promoters to maximize the exposure of shows via the Internet. Jody Grind has a Facebook page and we are currently building a strong following.

Radio and press in general still have a strong promotion influence on shows and the band is always ready to do interviews. Tim is a great raconteur with his stories of his life in Rock ’n Roll recently featured in his autobiography, “Hinkleys Heroes Vol I” due to be released in 2017.

There also will be a strong press release and album reviews in all the European press. The band is keen and willing to do advance press and radio for any show.
